Heartwarming donations and tales of generous tabs across Tamworth have popped up on social media, as people and businesses do their part to curb the spread of coronavirus and support front line workers.

My Thai owner Bouakheua Sayabath has been cooking up a storm in her restaurant kitchen to feed fresh Thai food to hungry, hard-working emergency staff.
On Thursday, she delivered a feast to nurses and doctors from the emergency department at the Tamworth hospital.

On Friday, she took meals to the Tamworth police station and paramedics.
"I just think nurses and doctors, they can't get away and they're working very hard," she said.
"I feel very good, because at least I can do my part for the hospital".
She estimates My Thai provided "at least 80, or 90, or even 100 meals" to workers over the two days.
Mrs Sayabath said she has had to close her restaurant to the public amid tighter government restrictions, but still heads into the kitchen with her family to prepare free food to fuel essential workers.
When the Leader spoke with Mrs Sayabath, she was planning on whipping up some more food to provide an "evening meal" to those stuck at work on Monday night.
"They're very happy and also pleased to know that we care for them," she said.
"It is the only thing I can do to help them."
Despite the struggles facing small businesses during the coronavirus crisis, other local joints have also joined in on the generosity.
Camp Grounds cafe praised patrons on Facebook for helping those in need.
The post said it started with one generous person paying it forward for emergency staff, which was matched by the coffee shop, and the concept grew.
"That first 'pay it forward' grew roots and led to another and another. Now we have a whole blooming bunch of free coffee for all those on the front lines," it said.
Camp Grounds said one hospital staff member even payed it forward herself, to help those out of work.
The Wallabadah BP roadhouse is helping out people on the highways, offering truck drivers free coffee, takeaway meals and hot showers until at least April 15.
