It's often in difficult circumstances that innovation shines through, and we're proud to be seeing that this is indeed the case in the Tamworth region as the situation unfolds.
We've seen local business working hard to adapt to government measures, whilst endeavouring to support both their workers and customers - whether it's take-away and drive-through pick-up initiatives, online engagement measures or new and improved ways to share helpful information.
In response to announcements from the Federal and State Governments over the past week that a more comprehensive shutdown of services was to be implemented, Tamworth Regional Council launched the Tamworth Region Trading Directory to ensure our residents are up-to-date with the changes to operating hours and capacities of essential services in this ever-changing landscape.
We've worked closely with the Tamworth Business Chamber to develop this one-stop-shop, aiming to create a list of all essential businesses in the region which have, to date, been categorised into the following; supermarkets and essential food providers, pharmacies, health services, service stations and Council facilities.
