The rains could return to the region as early as tomorrow with showers predicted over the next two days.

There is a 70 per cent chance of rain in Tamworth on Wednesday and Thursday while there is also a chance of thunderstorms on both days, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Thursday looks the best chance for showers with 4-10mm of possible rainfall while there is a possibility of 2-8mm on Wednesday.
The rain looks to dry up from there with just a 20 per cent chance of any rain for the rest of the week.
Meanwhile, there is a similar chance for Gunnedah to get some showers.
There's a 70 per cent chance for Gunnedah to receive showers on Wednesday (chance of 3-15mm) and then a 60 per cent chance on Thursday (chance of 3-10mm).
