A hot meal will be accompanied by an even hotter commodity for Meals on Wheels clients, after Woolworths donated packs of toilet paper for the charity to deliver.

The 200 Tamworth locals registered with the service will receive a four-pack of toilet paper as a one-off gift when their meals are delivered this week.
Another almost 1000 people across the New England will also get the goods.

"We're very grateful to Woolworths for thinking of the elderly in the community and they recognise that Meals on Wheels is the ideal vehicle to deliver toilet paper to the most vulnerable in the community," Tamworth manager of the service Peter Gallagher said.
Shoppers have faced empty toilet paper aisles on a regular basis amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Gallagher said the generous bounty would help people "genuinely desperate" for supplies.
"Even families struggle to get toilet paper for their elderly parents, and for themselves," he said.
"The clients are very grateful for any support they can get."
Meals on Wheels delivers food to elderly people who have "limited transport, many of them have low vision, low hearing and struggle to shop and cook for themselves," Mr Gallagher said.
He said the community group is an essential service and has put in place extra precautions to make sure they can safely stay open during the coronavirus outbreak - though they are in desperate need of hand sanitiser.
The toilet paper initiative is state-wide but only people who were registered clients when Woolworths made the donation are eligible for the extra gift.
