A BLANKET exemption from delivery curfews has been applied to supermarkets across the city.

The temporary lapse of curfews means deliveries can be made to grocery shops at all times of the day or night to deal with shelves stripped by panic buyers.
Tamworth Regional Council mayor Col Murray announced the immediate lift on Wednesday.
"It's a logical decision in these extraordinary circumstances we are currently experiencing, it's sensible we clear the way for deliveries to be made to local supermarkets," he said.
"The exemption means we are eliminating red tape because individual supermarkets will not need to apply for a modification to their current consent."
