Tamworth Golden Guitar winner Wet My Whistle, from the Clayton Harmey stables, has drawn the four barrier for the race, with Jake Hughes to take the reins.
Bathurst pacer Beetson, from the Peter Trevor-Jones stables, has drawn the eight barrier and is no slouch. The 12-year-old won his last race back in December at Bathurst, rating 1min 55.2sec for 1730 metres. Madi Young has been engaged to take the reins.
The Armidale Cup will see Beetson looking for career win 44 at race start 205, or will it be career placing 72? Taking out the Group 1 Gold Crown Final at Bathurst in 2010 and a Canola Cup in 2012, Beetson has also collected Menangle wins.
Narrabri pacer Kid Montana commenced his racing career at Armidale in March 2018 with a 32-metre win, and will be looking for three wins on the trot when he contests the Cup from the nine barrier.
With back-to-back wins, The Kid knows how to win - with 22 wins and 14 placings from 59 starts and a prize purse of just over $100,000.
Support races on the program include the Roberts & Morrow Chartered Accountants Armidale Golden Horse Shoe Pace for Three-Year-old pacers, and the Ducats Armidale Bill Barraclough and Kevin Ward Memorial race. The Tamworth mini trotters will also be in action.

THE six-week-long Team Teal campaign by the ladies is set to wrap up for 2020 at the Armidale meeting, and how well have the North West ladies left their mark on the campaign - raising $2,400 from six winning drives by Jemma Coney, Sarah Rushbrook and Elly Chapple.
Rushbrook, the Team Teal ambassador for the North West, also raised over $2,500 from her Trivia Night last weekend. All the money raised will go to research into ovarian cancer.

THE Miracle Mile last Saturday night at Menangle saw reinsman Luke McCarthy secure the win in the feature race with King Of Swing. King Of Swing, the favourite, collected $550,000. His mile rate was 1.48.0 for 1609m.

IT WAS a good Miracle Mile meeting for two Tamworth mini trot representatives, siblings Tanner and Reba Brown. It was the first time Reba had attended the feature meeting.
She accredited herself very well behind her pony Just Jack, while Tanner headed home with a second placing with Mr Fantangles. Job well done, girls!
