The popular Kids Zone is back, along with a new Pamper Tent for the adults to take some time out.
It might still be tough with the drought, but organisers were determined to put on a show for the whole community.
"Everyone is aware of the difficult conditions that we're facing and we are adapting to cater for these conditions. This year we wanted to put on a show that catered for the whole community, attracted visitors to our great town and gave everyone something to enjoy," Manilla Show Secretary/Treasurer, Lou-Ellen Overton said.
The show will be hosting a variety of attractions, including a tent pegging exhibition, Proten fireworks, dinosaur races, live music, Gill Bro's Rodeo and a performance by Rooftop Express, "the Australian renowned performance of awe-inspiring horsemanship, humor and thrilling stunts".
The free Kids Zone will keep the young ones entertained, with Troppo Bob and his magic show, Fizzics Education the hands on scientific demonstrations and giant games like 'Tick, Tack and Toe'.
While the Pamper tent for adults will offer a selection of treatments including free hair cuts, foot massages and plenty of giveaways.
"Other sections that have adapted to the dry conditions and water restrictions are the Horticulture Section focusing on 'Pot Plants' and the campdraft, running as a 'dry' event without the cattle, instead competitors will compete in a working pattern, time trial and work a mechanical cow," Ms Overton said.
"Prepare yourself for an action packed Saturday night, with a huge program to get involved in, including the Young Farmers Challenge and the Wife Carrying Competition.
"Then, sit back and relax as the Gill Bro's Rodeo and Rooftop Express provide unbeatable entertainment; cheer on the rodeo riders and the talented horseman as they entertain you until after dark."
The special theme in the photography section this year is 'The Viaduct', paying tribute to the iconic viaduct running through the showground.
- Entry cost: $8 for adults, $3 for children under 18 years or a membership/ weekend family pass for $20.
