The 22-year-old woman is behind bars after being denied bail when she was released from Tamworth hospital on Tuesday.
The Tingha woman is accused of a raft of charges after Sunday night's horrific crash in Inverell that claimed the life of her 20-year-old pregnant female passenger, and injured two others.
Police said the 20-year-old was 32 weeks pregnant when she died en route to hospital.

Crash investigators from Tamworth have been piecing together the moments leading up to the crash on Warialda Road and arrested the 22-year-old accused after she was released from hospital.
She was taken to Tamworth police station and questioned before she was charged with eight offences.
She's accused of dangerous driving occasioning death by driving in a manner dangerous; negligent driving occasioning death; driver never licensed; using a light vehicle that doesn't comply with standard tyres; using an unregistered vehicle on the road; using an uninsured vehicle; and using a vehicle on road without paying tax and drive with unrestrained passenger.
The woman was denied bail by police and appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
She was denied bail in court and was ordered to remain in custody until the case returns to court again later this month.
Police said investigations into Sunday night's crash are continuing.
Emergency services tried desperately to save the 20-year-old woman, who was 32 weeks' pregnant, after the crash on Warialda Road at Inverell, late on Sunday night.
The woman was a passenger in a Holden Commodore when it lost control just before 10.30pm. Police said the Commodore collided with a Mazda Bravo and then struck a powerpole.
Both the driver and the pregnant passenger were seriously injured.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the women. They were then transported to Inverell Airport to meet the Westpac Rescue Helicopter's critical care medical team, but the 20-year-old woman and her unborn baby died before she could be airlifted.
The 22-year-old driver was then flown to Tamworth hospital with head and shoulder injuries.
Police said the driver of the Mazda Bravo ute, a 19-year-old man, and his female passenger, escaped with minor injuries. He was taken to Inverell hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers setup a crime scene and police from the Crash Investigation Unit in Tamworth were deployed to the roadway, which remained closed until Monday afternoon.
