NINE Quirindi High School students are preparing to represent the region at the state swimming championships in Sydney in April.

Katie Martin , Ella Worley, Bella Pollard , Oliver Bratley, Harry Bartholomew, Sam Avard, Annabelle Avard, Hayley Morris Keenan Davis will compete in a variety of different events, including the girls 100m freestyle relay.
Pollard, who also set a new 100m butterfly record at the event, said she was humbled to represent North West at the state titles.

Meanwhile, nine other students lined up in the the Arinya Zone under-15 touch football sides and attended the North West under-15 touch football trials at Inverell.
Bridie Douglas, Jaiden Summers, Tom Whyte, Liam Durie, Jamiah Hunt, Jayde Ferguson, Riley Gimbert, Logan Quigley and Luke Quigley represented the school.
The group will be coached by Tamworth's Steph Halpin at the next stage.
Qualified swimmers:
- Katie Martin - 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle relay.
- Ella Worley - 100m freestyle relay.
- Bella Pollard - 100m butterfly, 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 100m backstroke, 200m individual medley, 400 individual medley.
- Oliver Bratley - 100m breaststroke.
- Harry Bartholomew -100m backstroke.
- Sam Avard - 50m freestyle.
- Annabelle Avard -100m butterfly, 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle relay.
- Hayley Morris - 100m freestyle relay.
- Keenan Davis - 100m breaststroke.
