Tough times won't hold Barraba back - they're hosting their 109th annual show at the weekend.

The show will kick off on Friday, March 6 and finish up on Sunday, March 8.
"Despite the very difficult conditions over the past year, we have been able to put together a full program of events," Barraba show president Tim Crowley said.

"As well as all the traditional show events, we have some really special guests and entertainment at this year's show," he said.
The Barraba Show was first held in the early 1900s and tradition still reigns with three days of horses, cattle, sheep and wool and the pavilion competition.

The junior and mini Barraba showgirls will be announced on Friday evening.
Family favourites like the campdraft, rodeo, Rodney the Clown and sideshow alley will return to the event this year.
Australia's most dangerous snakes will be on display at the Neville Burns reptile show and Kim Hagan will show off his horse tricks.
