It's been voted as one of the worst roads in the state, and road users have been calling for its upgrade for a long time, but Werris Creek Road still hasn't been upgraded.

However Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said he was "fully committed" to ensuring it would be done.
"There is a process to be followed and I am confident this process is reliable and robust," Mr Anderson said.
"I am fully committed to deliver on this pledge. I will be working closely with Regional Roads Minister Paul Toole to deliver on this commitment."

The MP pledged $10 million for upgrades in the 2019 state election, and the road has been listed in the 2019/2020 budget papers.
Werris Creek Road was labelled as the third worst stretch of road in the New England in the NRMA's Rate Your Road Survey last year, and users have started a Facebook page titled 'Fix Werris Creek Road' to lobby for its upgrade.
Mr Anderson said he knew the road well from his "travels between Tamworth and Werris Creek and Quirindi", and said it was "another important road project that I am working on just like the roads we have already upgraded".
