Over 1,500 women were diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2019, and there is currently no detection test for this cancer.
The good cause's North West ambassador, Sarah Rushbrook, will be wearing her specially designed silks and teal pants to raise funds during the campaign.
She kicked off her campaign on Thursday afternoon at the Tamworth Harness Racing Club's eight-race meeting, followed by Inverell and Armidale meetings.

"I was stoked when I was asked to be an ambassador," said Rushbrook. "Honoured to have been asked."
During the Team Teal campaign, Harness Racing NSW will donate $400 to the cause every time a woman driver in teal pants wins a race.
Rushbrook has some more fundraising planned for the cause, in the form of a trivia night and a raffle.
"Ovarian cancer is one of those diseases that people talk about behind closed doors, and it is also one of those gynaecological conditions that can't be tested for - you just have to look out for the symptoms," she said.
"I am happy to do my bit for the cause."
Rushbrook had three drives at Tamworth on Thursday: Adrenaline Rush, Jackeroo Shannon and Gotta Rush. She also drove Berling, for trainer Mackayla Mitchell.
"They have all drawn horrifically but we will keep our fingers crossed that we snag at least one winner," she said ahead of the meeting.
The Tamworth reinswoman is keen to pick up more drives from other trainers in the coming weeks.
At the Paceway on Thursday, she was joined by two other reinswoman wearing teal pant, Jemma Coney and Elly Chapple.
Elly had three drives: Manly Boy, Penny A Packet and Franco Tarique. While Jemma had six drives: Bella Stella, Roll With Annie, Are You With Me, Playing Arkabella, Always A Lexus and Queens Angel.
