Mrs Parker sang back-up vocals for son Mitch Tambo at his Aboriginal Cultural Showcase performance on the FanZone stage.
A week after first hitting the stage with her son, Mrs Parker was still pinching herself.
"How many mothers get the chance to back up their son?" Mrs Parker asked the Leader.
"A couple of times there, I nearly cried on stage.
"There were times I looked at him as a mother and just thought, wow, he's just got a special connection with people."
She added: "I said to him I was the luckiest mum in the world and he said, 'Mum, it goes both ways'."
It wasn't an easy task to prepare for the performance, though.
Mrs Parker "practised and practised and practised" to learn all the songs and choreography.
And despite being so well prepared the nerves still came when it was time to hit the stage.
"Lo and behold, it came around and I was nervous the first night and then it all really came together on the second night," she said.
Along with his mother, Tambo was joined by Irihipeti Waretini and Lele Rumwaropen on The FanZone stage last Thursday and Friday night while local dancers also performed alongside the Gamilaraay singer.
The latter of the performances brought with it rain, providing what Mrs Parker described as a "special moment".
"In between Mitch and the rain, it was just a spiritual moment," she said.
"Everyone on the stage felt it ...we all clicked."
Mrs Parker said people travelled from places such as Nowra, Ballina and Tenterfield to watch her son perform in Tamworth.
And they didn't leave disappointed as the Australia's Got Talent grand finalist played songs he performed on the talent show - including You're The Voice - and also belted out his new single Together.
Fans who stuck around after the show also had the chance to meet the singer.
"He did not leave that place, in pouring rain, he never left until the last person had their photo," Mrs Parker said.
The two performances won't be the last time mother and son get to perform on stage again.
In fact, over the long weekend, Mrs Parker performed with her son at Share The Spirit Festival and also at the Australian Open - both of which were another thrill for the proud mother.
"If he has gigs in Sydney or in the north, I'm only a plane flight away," she said.
