But questions remain over releases from the state government-owned dam in a time where rivers downstream have begun flowing once more.
Since last Friday, 788.4 megalitres of water has flowed into the dam.
It has resulted in the dam's storage level rising by close to 1 per cent.

However, releases from the dam have also increased.
Since the start of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, 383 megalitres have been sent down the Peel, with a number of factors at play.
Water NSW has been sending "environmental pulses" downstream every four days to help sustain the wildlife and the ecosystem, as well as releases for the city's drinking supply.
"The pulses occur every four days and briefly increase the flow from 30 megalitres per day (ML/day) to approximately 45ML/day for one day, before being reduced," a Water NSW spokesperson said.
A restriction on high-security water users in the Peel Valley was also lifted at the weekend.
The decision came as flows returned to the Cockburn River and Goonoo Goonoo Creek, which will mean the Peel joins back up with the Namoi River.
Discharges from Mooki and Peel rivers are forecast to re-establish connectivity of flows in the Namoi from Gunnedah to Narrabri.
The environmental releases don't have the support of Tamworth Regional Council water director Bruce Logan.
"Council has a view we shouldn't be making environmental releases at all at the moment in relation to the Peel," he said previously.
"I am not in charge of looking after the environment; someone else is and that's their view."
The rain and addition to town water supplies is welcome, but the council will not be lifting water restrictions at this time.
In the next week, investigations will be undertaken to determine the longevity of the current flows and a number of other factors.
This will influence the decision on whether or not to change restrictions on any supply in the region.
