Amidst a severe weather warning, and off the back of good falls in the Tamworth and wider area, crowds were packing out pubs and clubs in the CBD, as well as the park.
The battle of the buskers is the finale of the festival in Bicentennial Park on Sunday night.
It capped off Australia Day events and celebrations held across the city throughout the day.

Some roads were still no-go zones on Sunday, and train services are still offline after a powerful storm ripped through the Werris Creek area on the weekend.
It's forced the town onto Level 5 water restrictions with the town's pipeline from Quipolly Dam to the water treatment plant damaged.
Emergency repairs are under way but locals have been asked not to use the water unless for drinking or showering.
While the festival clean up will begin on Monday, and thousands will roll out of the city, locals will get an extra day to recover for the Australia Day public holiday.
Double demerits will also wrap up at midnight on Monday, with extra police on the roads has travellers head home and locals return from school holidays and long weekends away.
