Meanwhile, Thomas starred in the under-15 100m race and the long jump, before taking home a gold medal for high jump.
Sawyer then completed the success by winning gold in the under-14 high jump and long jump competitions.
In the process of winning the high jump competition, Sawyer claimed a new personal best and booked a place at the NSW qualifiers.
The trio's coach Maryanne Perkins said she was extremely proud of her young charges.
"There has been a shift in the mindset and commitment in our squad and I'm excited about where this is going to take us," Perkins said.
Currently Perkins trains more than 50 youth in Gunnedah for various sports, with the "development of Athleticism" being her specialty.
Being an S&C coach as well as an advanced Level 3 athletics coach is the perfect combination to prepare athletes for all sports performance.
Of the 50 she trains, 15 would primarily focus on track and field, with the remainder preparing for a variety of representative sports including rugby league, rugby union, soccer, netball, touch football, Oztag, tennis, cricket and swimming.
Sawyer will now focus on competing in the high jump at the NSW qualifiers.
