The former Wollongong apprentice who moved north a few years back and completed his apprenticeship riding for trainers like Grafton's David Campbell, celebrated his first Ballina Cup win.
"To be honest I haven't ridden too many winners here," Hellyer said.
The 32-year-old jockey might not have had too much luck at Ballina but Melted Moments has, winning three of his four starts at Ballina.
Those wins have all been for Campbell, who also celebrated his first win in the $65,000 feature.

Campbell also thanked Armidale trainer Paul Grills, who sent him the eight-year-old gelding after copping a suspension last year.
"I've only had him this preparation," Campbell said of a son of Any Given Saturday who has now won 13 of his 73 starts. He's also placed another 17 times for almost $240,000 in prizemoney.
"Paul Grills had him, he was unlucky and got to a bit of strife and sent him to me. He did all the hard work I've just put the polish on him."
He also praised Hellyer.
"It was the perfect ride," he said.
"He's a genuine horse."
Campbell may now head to Brisbane for a no metro wins race in a fortnight.
