Held annually in conjunction with the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the shoot has been running now for around 10-12 years, club treasurer Chris Durkin said.
It will consist of two events: a 25-target pointscore and the feature Regional Australia Bank Hillbilly 100, where each shooter gets 100 targets to hit.
Durkin is expecting some top shooting on Sunday.
"We've got some pretty hot shots here in our club, and I do believe we've got some shooters coming from the coast and also Guyra," he said.
"Guyra is a pretty strong club. They've got some pretty good shooters."
He tipped Guyra shooter John Reid as one to watch out for. Reid was the overall Hillbilly 100 winner last year, prevailing after a three-way shootout.

Others Durkin expects to be up there are Tamworth pair Brad Henshall and John Sleightholme, and Ross Ashton from Coffs Harbour.
Last year's competition attracted around 30 shooters.
"We're hoping we get a few more this time," Durkin said.
He said they have in the past had out-of-towners that are in Tamworth for the festival compete in the shoot.
"We've had people from Queensland and South Australia that are here for the festival, and have found out about it and come out," he said.
The competition was until a couple of years ago staged as a day-night shoot.
"We did 50 targets in daylight and the other 50 were shot after dark," Durkin said.
But that posed some issues with the late start for the night shoot due to daylight saving and people travelling back, so they brought it back to a full daylight shoot.
It will cater for shooters of all ages and levels, and get underway at the club's Loomeberah range at 9.30am..
