Batting first, Tamworth lost Charlie Henderson in the opening over for a duck and then skipper Ben Chick in the fourth to find themselves 2-10.
But Doyle dug in, batting 30 overs for what coach Craig Baker said was a "well-fought" 27, and providing good support to Murphy, who hit a quick-fire 55 and really got the innings going.
Kye Sharp also chipped in with a valuable 20 as they mustered 8-189 from their 50 overs.

Baker was pretty happy with that total from the position they were in, although they were aided by the Bears' 47 sundries.
In the end they proved the difference with Tamworth winning by 47 runs.
Sam Anderson led the charge with the ball with 3-20 from his 9.1 overs. Murphy backed up his efforts with the bat with 2-24, while Heramb Dayananda picked up 2-23 and Deni Baker 1-29 as they dismissed the Brisbane side for 142.
Baker said it was good to get that first win, but noted there is plenty of room for improvement. Whilst tidier than the Bears', their bowling wasn't at the standard he would like, the side bowling 29 wides.
They have two Twenty20s on Friday facing Hunter Valley in the morning and Northern Rivers in the afternoon.
Hosts Armidale also won their opener. Chasing Ballina's 5-82 they got the runs in 17.4 overs with Ben Heagney scoring an unbeaten 47no.
