The race day is a fundraiser for the Tour De Cure ride which will see riders take off from Newcastle, through the New England, including Tamworth, in March.
Locals are set to take part in the ride which has a final destination of Noosa after a gruelling 1400kms of riding over nine days, climbing 14,000 metres in elevation.
