The company behind the project, MPC Kinetic, has 60 people working on site, including 20 locals working either directly on the job or indirectly through local contractors.
More than a dozen local businesses have been engaged and nearby farmland has been leased to storage materials and set up the project's office.

The non-local crews are renting out eight houses and nine units, and so far the total local spend is more than $150,000.
That figure is expected to rise as the project ramps up in to stage two, which involves installing the $39 million pipeline from Chaffey Dam to Tamworth.
More than 600 pipes have been delivered, with around one kilometre laid so far.
The pipeline is expected to be completed by March next year, and the state government estimates it will extend Tamworth's supply to about August 2021 without any inflows in to Chaffey Dam.
