A MAN has been refused bail after police allegedly uncovered almost $30,000 worth of drugs in his car.

The 18-year-old Melbourne man was intercepted by police from Operation Northmore - a four-day traffic blitz conducted on the NSW and Queensland border.
Police said the teen was stopped at Boggabilla at about 10.50am on Saturday for a random breath test.
Officers claim they had cause to search the car, after questioning the driver. Inside, they will allege he had 637 MDMA capsules; 24 bags of ketamine; and 14 bags of cocaine and cocaine/ketamine mixed.
Police claim the the drugs - which weighed about 145 grams - have a combined street value of about $29,000.
The teenager was arrested and taken to Boggabilla police station where he was questioned and later charged with three counts of supplying a prohibited drug that's less than a commercial quantity, and possessing prohibited drugs.
He was refused bail by police and appeared in an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Inverell Local Court on Sunday where he was denied bail.
Operation Northmore was launched on Thursday by highway patrol officers, together with their Queensland counterparts, as well as New England police.
The four-day operation targeted heavy vehicles, dangerous driving and illegal drug trafficking between NSW and Queensland, targeting the Boggabilla and Goondiwindi areas.
During the operation, police carried out 3171 random breath tests and detected four high and mid-range drinking offences.
Officers handed out 192 infringement notices for various offences including diary and logbook compliance; load restraints; seatbelt offences; unlicensed drivers; speeding; and defect notices.
Police also made 20 drug detections, and laid 13 criminal charges, as well as 17 traffic charges.
