THE Tamworth Basketball Association is throwing its support behind Tradies Support the Ladies by going pink in the final round of the Servies Super Slam season.

Players will wear pink shorts and use pink basketballs during Tuesday's games, to support breast cancer awareness.
The association will be selling the group's merchandise and will promote conversions about breast cancer.

Thunderbolts lane runner Zoe Rickard said she was thrilled to be a part of the cause.
"It feels good to be wearing pink and supporting the cause," Rickard said.
"It's really special because someone really close to all us is currently going through it as well. To be able to support her and her family is really cool."
Tradies Support the Ladies founders Gary Sinclair and Matthew Whitson both have strong ties to the association, and helped inspired Tuesday's event.
"It's a great cause and we are really excited to be be supporting it," Rickard said.
"I think all the players are really excited to be getting out there and doing what they can to support the cause."
The weekly Servies Super Slam competition is aimed at improving the skills of Tamworth's junior representative and senior state league players.
"I play junior and senior basketball, so the competition has been great for me," Rickard said.
"It's been really great in helping me improve my fitness."
A member of the Tamworth Thunderbolts senior side, which made the finals this year, Rickard said she was confident the side would improve even further in 2020.
"We made the finals this year at senior level and I think our fitness is something will be looking to improve on for next year," she said.
"A lot of the players in our side are quite young, so there's still a lot of improvement left in all of us.
"It's going to be really exciting to see how go next year."
Tuesday's games at the Tamworth Sports Dome begin at 6pm.
