Club president Peter Ryan said he was "really pleased with the roll up".
"All up, we had 198 swimmers nominate for the event and over 1080 entries for the day," Ryan told the Leader.
"We did have a few swimmers from places such as Grafton who weren't able to get along due to road closures and the smoke haze.
"However, we still had a great turn out and each swimmer was entered in an average of five events each, which was just fantastic."
Ryan said many of his club's swimmers achieved top results heading into December's state championships.
"I think there was a lot of kids who would have been really pleased with their results," he said.
"Quite a few our swimmers were able to qualify for the state championships, which was really pleasing.
"They have been training so hard, so for them to get that qualification is really pleasing.
"The other pleasing aspect of the day was our skins event and our 25-metre events for first-time swimmers.
"They were a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed by all the kids who took part."
The region's swimmers will now turn their attention to the Kootingal Swimming Club's development camp on Saturday.
"Events like this don't just happen, so I really want to thank all the volunteers who made it possible," Ryan said.
"Our volunteers started at 6am in the morning and went through the entire day.
"It's a long day, so I really want to praise them for their efforts.
"I also want to thank everyone from Tamworth City Swimming Club who helped us set up and pack up the day.
"Our two clubs have a great relationship and their help was greatly appreciated."
