The club will be hosting an AFL nines competition, beginning on November 28, which will give newcomers to the game a chance to play in a social, mixed, non-contact environment.
This year's competition will mark the first time Tamworth has hosted an AFL nines competition and it has already garnered a large amount of interest.

Tamworth Swans president Josh McKenzie said the club was surprised with the amount of players looking to join in the fun.
"We initially thought the competition might only include four teams, but it is looking like we might have upwards of 10 or 12," McKenzie told the Leader.
"There's still a lot of details we need to iron out, but we are really pleased with the interest.
"Hopefully we will get a nice blend of people who are experienced in the game and some who are trying it for the first time."
So far, the weekly competition has attracted interest from players across the region, including several members of the Gunnedah Bulldogs.
"At this stage there are two ways of registering to play," McKenzie said.
"People can form their own team and nominate a captain, who registers the team as a whole.
"Or, people who don't have a team can nominate and we will put them into a team.
"There is an option for people registering to put down names of people they'd like to play with, so we will do the best we can to place people in teams with people they know."
McKenzie said it was not too late for people to register for the inaugural competition.
"Team registrations will close on November 22, to give us a chance to sort out a draw," he said.
"However, individuals can sign up right until our first round on November 28."
The competition will run on Thursday evenings between November 28 and December 19, before breaking for Christmas and returning for January 2 to January 19.
