A FENTANYL dealer taken down as part of Tamworth's 'ice castle' bust told investigators he knew it was wrong.

John Vincent Seivers pleaded guilty in Tamworth Local Court on Monday to supplying 11 times the indictable quantity of fentanyl, a prescription opioid used illegally as a substitute for heroin or methadone.
When police arrived at Seivers' home in Manilla, body worn camera footage revealed he told them, "I'm not supplying or selling them ... I seen [sic] the bust on the news a few weeks ago."
Between New Year's Day and June, the 69-year-old dealt six 25mg patches and 14, 50mg patches.
A 50mg patch is worth $200 on the black market, police evidence showed.

Seivers will be sentenced in January next year. He remains on bail.
