Gunnedah Junior Cricket Association president Andrew Johns said the one-off games came about due to an old connection with Gilgandra.
"An old cricket-work mate of mine is the secretary or Gilgandra cricket and he asked if they could bring some teams," Johns said.
"It was a great day of cricket and we want to thank everyone from Gilgandra who made the trip up for some competitive cricket."
Johns said he was hopeful the partnership between the two associations would continue in the future.
"We're hoping to send a team down there for games next year," he said.
