Batting first, Armidale started strong with Brandon Landsborough and Heath Dowsett opening.
Dowsett's innings came to an end at the hands of Walcha's Lee Harrison.
That brought Barry Lockwood to the crease who, with Landsborough, added runs before he was caught off Daniel Boyd's bowling for 20.
Landsborough departed next for 41 via Cameron Wood.
Fifteen-year-old Ben Heagney started strong before he was caught off Andrew Fuller's bowling for 11.
Fuller than snared BJ Cameron's wicket for 12.
Armidale's tail added a few runs before being bowled out for 166.
Fuller finished with 3-30 (10 overs), Harrison 2-24 (8.4 overs), Cameron Wood 2-30 (10 overs), Boyd 1-16 (3 overs) and Ed Blomfield 2-28 (9 overs).
Walcha's innings with the bat began with promise before BJ Cameron found his feet and snared the first wicket of opener Barry Hoy for eight.

Nick Endacott departed as quickly as he replaced Hoy when 16-year-old Darcy McDermott claimed his wicket lbw for a duck.
Cameron had his second wicket when he cleaned up Harrison's stumps.
The 18-year-old then claimed Boyd's scalp, with another young gun in Hamish Biddle taking a screamer, for his third.
Armidale's John Elliot entered the frame and snared the wickets of Wood and Blomfield.
Shannon Rafferty departed for 25 off Lockwood's bowling and then Brandon Landsborough dismissed Jay Grills.
Andrew Skinner finished off Fuller and Cameron Kelly with Dan Hunt in his representative debut remaining at the crease with his side's top score of 26 not out but it wasn't enough as Armidale secured a 29-run win.
