A MAN is set to front court on Monday morning charged with kidnapping a man and tying him up in a home, before sexually assaulting him.

The South Australian man is in custody at Armidale police station charged with several counts of aggravated sexual assault - a charge that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, if found guilty.
The 37-year-old is alleged to have sexually abused a 33-year-old man at a home near Armidale on Sunday.
Police will allege in court that the South Australian man tied the other man up before sexually assaulting him.

The younger man was taken to Armidale hospital in a stable condition for his injuries and police launched an investigation.
A crime scene was set-up at the home, and after investigations, a 37-year-old man was arrested at a property in Uralla.
He was taken to Armidale police station and questioned in relation to the attack. The man was subsequently charged with five counts of aggravated sexual assault and deprive liberty; and aggravated sexual assault and inflict actual bodily harm on victim.
It appears to be a random attack with police alleging the men are not known to one another.
The 37-year-old was refused bail and spent the night in custody. He will front Armidale Local Court on Monday morning.
Police have confirmed investigations into the attack are continuing.
