TCMF 2020: Festival ambassador search for January's festival

A festival ambassador is part guide, part chief of the vibe, and there's just a few spots left on the bill.

The roles are open to anyone older than 16, Tamworth Regional Council volunteer coordinator Veronica Filby said.

"We are looking for 20 more confident people, who are strong communicators and who would be proud to be involved in the festival," she said.

"It's a great opportunity to meet new people from all over Australia and particularly for young people to up-skill in areas of customer service and event assistance, that could one day even help them to get a job."

Ambassadors greet festival-goers, provide information and help them have the best experience possible.

Successful applicants will undergo a number of training sessions to ensure they are fully equipped with the knowledge and information to help them do their best.

As part of the role, festival ambassadors have exclusive access to the volunteer green room, a festival bus pass, a ticket to the 2020 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards, official merchandise and an award presented at a special event.

All ambassadors will have a minimum of three shifts across the ten days, for three to four hours a day.
