TWO cars have been destroyed after two fires over the weekend in Gunnedah and Narrabri.

Gunnedah police, Gunnedah Fire and Rescue, Boggabri Fire and Rescue and Gunnedah Rural Fire Service attended a car alight on the Kamilaroi Highway towards Boggabri on Saturday night.
The crews were called out at 6.30pm, where firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze.

Gunnedah Fire and Rescue captain David Welch said it took crews about 10 minutes to put the fire out.
"Due to the level of destruction it is hard to determine [the cause]," Mr Welch said.
Mr Welch said no one was in the car or the surrounding area when crews arrived, and that police were investigating the matter.
In Narrabri, local firefighters also battled a car fire at 4.45am on Sunday.
The car, on fire in Gibbons Street, was stolen, police have confirmed.
