Tall tales of glory days to be told at Cowboys for Cancer

Cowboys for Cancer is only in its third year, but organiser Dodger Shepard is expecting close to a hundred people at this year's event.

"I noticed only time all the old cowboys got together was at funerals," Mr Shepard said.

"So I wanted to change that and raise a bit of money at the same time."

Mr Shepard said it'd be a chance for the former rodeo riders to relieve their glory days, with a few tall tales over a beer, while raising money for a good cause.

The festivities kick off at the White Hart Hotel from 11am.

Anyone interested in joining the fun can contact the hotel to book a ticket, which are $25 or $40 for two.
