A DRIVER charged with a crash that seriously injured a 69-year-old man on the New England Highway in June has appeared in court.

Nyssa Ahshay had her case adjourned until later this month in Tamworth Local Court on Monday.
Police allege she was behind the wheel of a northbound Holden Commodore when it crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into an embankment.
Ahshay faces four charges of causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle, driving furiously, negligent driving and not keeping left of the dividing line.
The alleged crash took place north of Bendemeer on June 13.

The 69-year-old passenger was trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by emergency services. He suffered a fractured right wrist and ribs, and was taken to hospital.
Ahshay is yet to enter pleas to the charges.
