Q and A with coach Tony Bishop
How would you rate your season out of 10?
4/10.
First time we have missed the finals in 20-plus year history so we underachieved overall. Having said that, for a team that had a list of only 23-plus volunteers we were very competitive in most games.
In your opinion, who were your top three players in 2019?
Elliott Bowen (league goal-kicking award), Luke Robinson (consistent performance as captain and leader of the backline), Ray Nixon (joined us from Narrabri mid-season and performed consistently in the midfield every week against quality opposition).

What was the highlight of 2019?
Our two matches versus the Nomads were narrow losses and in the balance until the final minutes. They made the grand final so I would say that was a highlight.
Where does the team need to improve heading into 2020?
Fitness overall and we need to recruit players across all areas to improve our chances. The current group, outside of fitness, did the best they could given we were undermanned in every match.
Will you be coaching again next year?
The club has not made a decision on coaching staff for next season. I will remain part of the club regardless of the outcome of that decision.
