Q and A with coach James Treweeke
How would you rate your season out of 10?
8/10.
Up and down all season. Could have been nine except for the grand final loss.
In your opinion, who were your top three players in 2019?
Luke Raymond. He's been consistently one of our best for a few years now and that grand final performance was probably one of the best I've seen in a long time. Not often the losing opponents get a best on ground. He leads from the front and always puts his body on the line.
Brady McDonald. A newcomer this year from Victoria and was a standout from game one. Just super skilful and always made the right decision. Will only get better as he gets used to the league.
Conor Nest. Not always in the best on grounds but for us he was a key player. Probably one of the best over head marks in the comp and was always in the right place at the right time. Only getting better.

What was the highlight of 2019?
Highlight was probably beating Inverell in Inverell in the preliminary final. Was right up there with the best win of my Nomads career.
Where does the team need to improve heading into 2020?
Just need to keep this group together is the main thing. If we can do that then I think we can go one better next year. Playing together week in week out only makes the chemistry better as Gunnedah and Inverell have proven in the last few years.
Will you be coaching again next year?
At this stage I will be but more then happy to hand it over if you know of anyone looking for a job! Too stressful.
