Australia's leading night sky photographer David Magro is coming to Tamworth for a one-off masterclass next month, with only a few spots still available.
Mr Magro, originally from Glen Innes, now travels the country and the globe teaching people his passion, capturing the night sky in all its glory.
"I travelled around the world and documented my travels with my camera, and always had an interest in science and astronomy," he said.
"I found that there was a real interest in astrophotography, and now I am lucky enough to be able to travel around the country and teach other people how to do it."

The masterclass is being run on October 24 at the Kumbogie Woolshed, 20 minutes east of Tamworth, although "astrophotography can be done from anyone's backyard."
"The class is for beginners who have never been off the auto setting through to advanced enthusiasts who have specific aspects they want to learn more about, and they can borrow one of my cameras on the night," he said.
"To give the photos some relevance I help the students find a subject like a tree, a woolshed or an old building - anything to draw the viewer in.
"I also teach them how to find and frame the milky way, plan their shots and find the correct settings to capture whatever they want."
Mr Magro has previously held five masterclasses in Tamworth, and all have sold-out, with only ten places available in each session.
Mr Magro is a previous winner of the Exposure Photographer of the Year award, and this year placed second in the Australian Aperture Emerging Photographer of the Year award.
