A STALLHOLDER at AgQuip accused of selling more than 100 replica firearms may have his case taken on by the Department of Public Prosecutions.

Jaincong Zheng had his matter pushed back in Tamworth Local Court on Monday, by Magistrate Julie Soars.
"Is the DPP still considering whether to elect?" she said.
The case has been referred to the DPP to prosecute, so it could be moved to the district court for a trial, or sentence if a plea is entered.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Cynthia Donovan confirmed the DPP was considering taking on the case.
"Perhaps the court might like to order an interpreter," she said.
Zheng's matter was adjourned until October 16 and his bail was continued, he is yet to enter a plea.

He was arrested after an anonymous tip off in Gunnedah on August 22.
Police allege 106 prohibited replica firearms were seized from the stall.
The replicas for sale are alleged to include 45 pistols, 42 sub machine guns, 18 air pistols and one assault rifle.
All of the replicas were seized by police at AgQuip along with more than $5000 cash.
