It is expected to be the biggest ceremony of the year with the event coinciding with Australian Citizenship Day.
This year, just 24 people took the affirmation on Australia Day.

Tuesday's ceremony will see Tamworth new citizens from six countries, including the Philippines, China, India, Iran, Scotland and Zimbabwe.
The most recent citizenship ceremony in Tamworth saw the council chambers jam-packed with friends and family members as 16 new Australians took the oath.
The event begins at 10am with a morning tea to follow.
