KOOTINGAL-Moonbi Roosters captain Jordan Sharpe will be "given every chance" to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday's Group 4 grand final.

The halfback suffered a dislocated knee during his side's preliminary final victory over the Werris Creek Magpies, which saw him sit out much of the Roosters' 30-14 victory.
Initial concerns Sharpe may have sustained a medial ligament injury are yet to be confirmed, but Roosters coach Geoff Sharpe said his captain and son was doing everything possible to be fit for Saturday.
"It was a bit of a unlucky injury, he basically jumped out of dummy half and had a player fall across him and dislocate his kneecap," Sharpe told the Leader.
"As he was getting up though, he had someone lean on the kneecap and put it back in, which we're hoping helped a bit."
Sharpe said his son was hard at work treating his injured knee.
"He is icing it up at the moment and we will take a look at what we can do from there," he said.
"At any rate, he will be given until 2pm on Saturday to prove his fitness. We won't make any decisions about it until then."

The Roosters will have both their first and reserve grade contesting grand finals on Saturday, a fact Sharpe believes will play in the Roosters favour.
"The beauty of having reserve grade playing in the grand final as well is that it gives us plenty of depth to choose from," he said.
"If needed, we will have a handful of really talented players that can step in and do a good job for us.
"Throughout the season, we have blooded a few of those younger guys into a first grade side, so we know they can stand up to it."
Sharpe said having two side's contesting Saturday's deciders was "vindication for the effort" countless people put in to get a reserve grade side off the ground.
"We can see that all of the hard work those guys around the club put in to get the reserve grade side going is really paying off," he said.
"I think there was probably a few people who doubted we could do it, but we have certainly proved that we can and we are starting to reap the rewards of it now."
