A MAN who is disqualified from driving until 2031 has been arrested, after allegedly being caught the wheel in Tamworth.

The 31-year-old Tamworth man was stopped by highway patrol officers in Crown Street shortly before 9pm on Thursday.
He passed a random breath test before checks revealed his licence was disqualified until 2031.
He was issued a notice to front court in mid-September for driving while disqualified - second or subsequent offence.

About 7pm on the same night, Target Action Group police stopped a car they saw travelling in Nancy Street in Tamworth.
The driver was questioned and checks revealed he was allegedly disqualified. Police allege he also failed a roadside drug test.
The 37-year-old was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where he allegedly provided a second positive sample for drugs.
He's been charged with driving while disqualified and police said charges were pending, depending on the results of laboratory tests for the drug test samples.
