The Bulls will travel to Walcha on Saturday, August 31 to take on the minor premiers Tamworth Pirates in the second grade major semi-final.
The Moree side finished the season in second place on the ladder, secured by a convincing 64-14 win against 2018 premiers Narrabri Blue Boars.
If the Bulls can beat Pirates this Saturday, they will progress straight through to the 2019 grand final, to be held on Saturday, September 14, in either Walcha or Narrabri (depending on the winner of the first grade major semi). If the Bulls lose, they will get one more chance and will face Gunnedah (who defeated Gwydir in last week's minor semi) in the final next Saturday.
The major semi action will get underway at Walcha's Captain Cook Oval from 11.25am with the under 19s match between Pirates and Narrabri. This will be followed by the second grade clash between Pirates and Moree at 12.55pm, with the women's sevens match between Gunnedah and Narrabri to be held at 2.35pm. The first grade fixture between Walcha and Narrabri will kick-off at 3pm.
