A conversion from the sideline after the full-time siren had sounded ensured the Moree Boomerangs would claim back-to-back Group 19 premierships.

Player-of-the-match Will Fernando slotted the goal to break a 34-all deadlock in the grand final against Glen Innes to win the trophy.
The match started disastrously for minor premiers the Magpies, who found themselves down 16-nil in the first 10 minutes after a Boomerangs onslaught which saw Ethan Pegus, Wyatt Roberts and Peter Duncan all crossing for tries.
Duncan scored his second try to start the second half and then Fernando slotted a penalty goal to put the Boomerangs out in front 24-10.
Watts then brought the Magpies back into the game with two converted tries, before Moree extended their lead again to 30-22 with Anthony Williams crossing before Watts added his fourth.
Glen captain-coach Guy Mepham crashed over to put the Magpies in front for the first time with three minutes left on the clock.
The Boomerangs opted for the short kick-off which paid dividends with Roberts bringing up his brace on the stroke of full-time to bring up the 34-all scoreline before Fernando's conversion.

"It's hard to explain how we're feeling right now. It's hard to explain how much this means to the club and the community," Boomerangs coach Chris Binge said.
He said it's impossible to put into words how it felt when Fernando nailed the game-winning conversion.
"The feeling and the emotions and everything that we've worked towards, it all culminated on that one conversion," he said.
"It meant a lot to everybody. The try put us on a high, but the conversion on the sideline just took everything to a new level."
It's a win that Binge labelled the club's "finest hour."
"When you go away from home and play a good football team, we had nothing to lose and everything to gain and I think that's the attitude we took into the week at training," he said.
"The lead up to that game was probably the best preparation we had."
Binge said their completion rate, particularly in the first half, was one of the major factors in the win, with the Boomerangs completing their first 12 sets in a row.
"They had to defend more than they usually have against us this year and because of that we gained the ascendancy," he said.
"We got that penalty goal with 25 minutes to go, we took those points and I think looking back that was one of the big decisions we made during the game and it paid off in the end."
Binge said Jamie Sampson deserves a special mention for his monumental effort after picking up an injury last week.
"His ribs were smashed around the week before against Narwan," he said.
"He went into the game, unbeknownst to us, with rib cartilage damage. He probably shouldn't have played and toughed out an 80-minute effort.
"I know that Willy (Fernando) was named man of the match, but Jamie Sampson needs special mention, what he did was unbelievable."
The Boomerangs will be chasing three titles in a row next season, as they begin a new chapter for the club with a new clubhouse and new ground to play on.
For now, Binge just wanted to thank all the supporters, as well as the coaching staff and players who put in huge efforts all season.
"If you believe in your dreams and you have faith in what you're doing, anything is possible and we proved that yesterday."
