People with disabilities can struggle for independence, that's where do-good duo Pat Burrows and Aaron Hemmings step in.
The pair have fundraised to donate a tandem bike to disability service Northcott, as part of their weekly good deed mission.
The bike allows people with disabilities to explore the community independently and gives them the security and comfort of having a support work accompany them, Northcott Tamworth life skills coordinator Sharon Leonard said.
"A lot of people with disabilities have low muscle tone," she said.
"Sometimes there's the lack of balance as well and just the courage to actually get out and have a go on the bike.
"We just don't realise the everyday things like riding a bike that are a challenge for people, so having a support worker with them on the tandem is a big help."
Northcott hopes to get a grant for another four or five tandem bikes to start a program. It plans to educate clients on road safety rules and implementing exercise.

Mr Burrows and Mr Hemmings love tandem bike riding and hope to spread the word about it.
"It gets them out and about instead of on a bus, being seen on the bike lets them be seen in the community," Mr Burrows said.
Farrer Security made a $1000 donation toward the bike, and the duo were helped by BC Bikes and residents.
