Taking on the Magpies at Tamworth Rugby Park for the second time in three weeks, two second-half tries was enough to see Albies secure a 26-25 victory.
It was not all smooth sailing for the visitors, as two penalty goals from Harry Morrow gave the Magpies an 18-12 lead at the break.
However, Jock Johnson gave Albies a lift, scoring a try inside the first five minutes of the second half.

It then looked like Albies would run away with the game as Sebastian Martin scored a try to give his side a 26-18 lead with 32 minutes remaining.
However, Alex Newmarch muscled his way across the line to bring the Magpies back to within one point.
From there it was an arm wrestle as both sides looked to swing the game their way.
Albies held their nerve and fought off the Magpies attack to record a memorable victory and set up a grand final play off with Robb College next week.
Albies co-coach Scott Waterson said his side's second-half performance was "characteristic of the group's attitude".
"We set ourselves a goal to win our last six and with that win we are five games through," Waterson told the Leader.
"Throughout this period the boys have had this unshakeable self belief that they can do it and they have been able to execute.
"It's the second time in three weeks we have been able to come down to Tamworth and grab a win.
"To coin a phrase, it feels pretty bloody good."
Magpies coach Peter Burke said he was "feeling deflated" after the loss.
"We began pre-season training on February 1 and have worked very hard all year," Burke said.
"I was extremely proud of the way our boys played, to see them go down that fashion was heart breaking.
"However, Albies were the better team on the day, played exceptionally well, and we wish them the best of luck for next weekend."
With key players such as Blake Clout, Issac Woodbury and Lachlan Ennis missing the game due to injury and suspension, Burke said he was proud of his side's ability to "step up".
"There were so many guys who stepped up and played a big role for us today [Saturday]," he said.
"You could take your pick but some who come to mind include, Issac Roebuck, Michael Pearce at prop, Matty Blanch and I could go on.
"They fought back, showed tremendous courage and that's all you can ask for as a coach."
Burke said he would now look forward to watching his son Will captain Albies in next weekend's grand final.
"In terms of it being bittersweet, the bitter part will pass shortly," he said.
"It will be sweet next week because I can support Tamworth's third and fourth grade sides in their grand finals, and support my son in first grade."
Earlier in the day, Albies' reserve grade side booked their grand final spot with a 24-17 win over the Armidale Blues, while the Magpies third and fourth grade sides also defeated the Blues 29-5 and 27-5 respectively, to earn grand final berths.
