The Northern Daily Leader has found the best time to check out the expected dusting around the region.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Craig Ryan said Sunday morning would be the best chance to see snow.
"At this stage, it looks like Saturday into Sunday [is the best time to see snow] opposed to tomorrow [Saturday] morning," he said.
"We're not expecting there to be a dumping at this stage, more just a dusting."
The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website is predicting a chance of snow right across the New England North West this weekend.
Walcha looks the most likely to get snow along with Armidale, Guyra and Glen Innes.
Closer to Tamworth, Moonbi, Piallamore, Gowrie, Hanging Rock and Coolah also have a chance to get a dusting of powder.
