The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website predicts temperatures to plummet bringing a blanket of snow to parts of the region.
Snow is expected around Walcha, Guyra, Armidale and possibly Hanging Rock throughout Saturday and Sunday.
Snow is set to be most abundant on Sunday.

While Tamworth isn't expecting snow, there is a chance of rain from Thursday through to Sunday with the thermometer bottoming out on Monday when Tamworth will be a frosty -3.
That frost will be widespread across the region on Monday morning.
Walcha will be as low as -8, Armidale will get to -4, Guyra -5 while Glen Innes will get down to -6.
