Tamworth can expect the same when country's Freddie Mercury, Drake White, hits town with Lucy Cavalier, Eric Paslay and Reverie Lane for a one-off side detour from Country 2 Country Festival.
"It's where you line up songwriters, you sing your songs with the story behind it and it's one of my favourite things to do, it's where the rubber meets the road," White said.
"The live show is the backbone of what I do, it's tent revival meets amped-up southern rock, it's energetic and all over the place."
White grew up in the small town of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains.
His preamble to music started with the Panasonic radio that blared music from his mother's beauty shop ran out of the garage.
"I love the area I grew up in, the woods, the water, the weather that came through and the church all seeped in sonically to my music," he said.
White started singing in the church choir and worked as a contractor before he gave it up to pursue music.
Now, he's set to play at Country 2 Country Festival in Sydney and Brisbane, with a sideshow in Tamworth.
White will perform alongside some of the biggest names in Australian country music, from Troy Cassar-Daley to The McClymonts.
"I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of Australian artists and at the end of the day it comes down to three chords and the truth," he said.
"If you feel it, other people will feel it and if you have the backbone to stick in there and the tenacity to drive through the roads that are the music business you'll make it.
"The Aussies understand that work ethic."
