AN INVERELL man has been refused bail on a raft of charges, accused of getting behind the wheel drunk and failing to stop after a crash.

A shed extensively damaged, while a fence and road sign were also no match for the man's white utility on Saturday night in Inverell.
Police will allege the 46-year-old was driving along Chester Street and then left the road, entered a property and hit a shed, causing what police claim was significant damage.
The man then left and continued to travel along Wood Street and Granville Street, where he struck a give way sign.
The man continued on, and police will allege he hit a beer garden fence of a hotel on Byron Street, significantly damaging it, before continuing along Warialda Road to Vernone Street.

Police had been alerted by several members of the public to the erratic vehicle and stopped and arrested the man in Urabatta Street.
The man was placed under arrest and police will allege in court he was effected by alcohol at the time.

He was taken to Inverell Police Station and charged with several offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident, refusing a breath analysis and offensive conduct.
The man was denied bail by police, who have called for witnesses who saw the white ute being driven on Saturday night to come forward.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old Queensland man has been charged with aggravated break-and-enter and commit serious indictable offence, malicious damage to property and resist arrest.
Police will allege the man entered the house in the Ross Hill area in Inverell and confronted the woman inside about 5.40pm on Saturday.
He's then accused of breaking out of the house through the garage door, and fleeing the scene.
Following investigations, the man was captured shortly after in Vernon Street, but is accused of resisting arrest.
He was questioned by Inverell detectives and charged with several offences and refused bail.
Inverell police said investigations were continuing into the matter, as officers speak to witnesses and neighbours.
