Currently sitting second on the ladder, the Thunderbolts are level on points with the third place Dubbo Rams with a game in hand.
A win over the bottom-placed Wildfire would give Tamworth some breathing room and a chance to secure their first finals appearance since the 1990's.

On Saturday night, the Thunderbolts men's team will be looking to continue their 12-game winning streak when they take on the St George Saints.
Coming into the game off the back of a 54-point win over the Port Macquarie Dolphins, the Thunderbolts will be looking to continue their run atop the Waratah League ladder.
Last time the two sides met in round six, the Thunderbolts scored a 28-point home victory over the Saints thanks to an 18-point performance from Chris Skilton.
The women's game begins at 12pm at the Tamworth Sports Dome.
