The past two Super Sundays - where each of the three teams play each other twice - have seen each side claim victories.
Over the past two weekends, the Tamworth Roosters have claimed six wins, Inverell have four wins and Glen Innes have scored a pair of victories.
And the six matches played last Sunday at Glen Innes were won by just 15.8 points on average. Three of those games were decided by 10 points or less.
Tamworth Roosters co-coach Ben Jaffrey said it was a brilliant day.
"Sunday was great. There was some good footy played," Jaffrey said.
"The games were all pretty tight.
"From a coach's point of view, it's great to see the improvement in the kids.
"The Roosters are getting better with every game they play and the Saints and Celts are, too."

But as every team has beaten each other at least once, all of the teams have their fair chance to win the competition.
"This comp is about as open as it gets which is great to see," Jaffrey said.
